Hello all,

My husband and I are looking to relocate to Charlotte, and are very interested in the Wedgewood area! We took a drive through the Mcintyre neighborhood on our last visit and really enjoyed it. So I suppose my question is for all who reside in this neighborhood; How do you like it?? We are interested in a great community feel that is a place where we can walk our dog and raise our children. The homes in the area are beautiful, we just want to hear how real residents like actually living there!

Thank you so much for any input! Smile

Hi Hannah,

I've lived here since 2003 and it is a very quite neighborhood. I don't have a dog, but do ride a bike every once in a while through the neighborhood, and used to jog as well. I like that the community is diverse and it is starting to look really nice, with the trees begining to mature (it was pretty bare when I moved in).

Good luck with house hunting.

We like the neighborhood a lot and have been here several years.  If you move into McIntyre avoid buying on a street where the homes have one-car garages.  Those homeowners tend to park on the street a lot because they cannot fit two cars in the driveway side-by-side.  Buy something on Bayview Parkway, Valcourt Road, Ames Hollow Road, etc.)
