In light of the recent break-ins I am curious about our neighborhood crime watch. I checked the link to the Indianapolis Police Department and looked at the community crime view for our neighborhood. There have been 10 break-ins in the past 3 weeks. One of which was my shed. So, is anyone interested in our neighborhood crime watch? I know that we have the signs posted for it, but is there really any such program in excistance? I know that I am interested. I surely don't want this crime to happen again.

Let's Take a Look at It

Good idea, I talked with my neighbor Robert and he said that this neighborhood at one time was involved with Crime Watch, might be time to do it again. I believe this was primarily a keep an eye out for your neighbor thing and call the police if you saw anything suspicious. We will check into it and post back to this spot, thanks for using the Community site, please spread the work around, this can only help us all.

Crime Watch

When I hear a neighborhood crime watch, I think of more meetings. Perhaps it would be better just to get to know your neighbors better and exchange phone numbers.

Sure getting to know your neighbors is definitely important. I just think that if the signs are posted (and they are), then they should mean something.
