Hello, Neighbors!

I'd like to start a new line of discussions on-line with all of you with a challenge.  Who has been living in Oakcliff the longest?  My family moved into the neighborhood when it was new in 1967.  My parents are still here and I bought my home here in 1994.

Tell us how long you've lived here and what you like about living in our area of town.  It will be fun to hear other's experiences.

Well, I didn't get any takers for that challenge, but I would really like to see more activity here in this section of our website.  There was a time when I knew most of my neighbors by name and recognized them in our corner supermarket, Beachler's IGA.  In today's society, people stay to themselves more and we no longer have the luxury of the corner supermarket.  That's the reason I thought we might have more activity in the dicussion area. 

 Let's get acquainted.  If not face-to-face, let us converse online.
