lawn ornaments

Posted in: Shadow Creek
Could those who choose to have lawn ornaments please keep in mind that not everyone appreciates your love of the temporary concrete/porcelain structures that we see in your FRONT yard. I'm sure most residents would appreciate it if the these structures were kept in your back yard if even kept at all... for example: deer, birdbaths, and other simulated wildlife. We do not live in a trailer park!
comment for lawn decorations

The last time I checked this was a free country. We like our lawn decorations very much and do not like your negative attitude about the community. In the future we would appreciate you keeping your opinions to yourself. Just because you are not a nature lover and can not enjoy mother nature doesn't mean that the rest of the neighborhood should suffer. We think that these beautiful statues give a nice touch to an otherwise bland neighborhood. Next thing you know you'll be complaining about people flying their flags.
I agree...

I agree that these Lawn Ornaments are tacky, but unfortunately we do not an association to police homeowners poor taste. We have to rely on our neighbors to exercise good judgement. Obviously this process does not always work to the benefit of us all.

Better late than never

Obviously I'm entering this discussion months after the fact, but I've got a number of issues I can vent about here. Due to the 600 word limit, I'm going to have to make multiple posts.

Right at the beginning of this post I have a problem. This person is anonymous. If you don't have the guts to tell us who you are, your opinion doesn't really count. If you really believe in what you're spewing here, then let us know who you are so we might have a direct dialog about this, rather than this cowardly anonymous post.
Secondly, please inform me by what standards you are judging other homeowners lawn fixtures. For that matter, rather than restricting the discussion to lawn fixtures, perhaps you should extend this discussion to the entire visible portion of the house? Why stop with lawn fixtures when you could be bashing away at interior lighting or pictures visible from the street? Hopefully my irony isn't wasted and you see the point I'm making.
If you're going to judge another's decision making with regard to the look of their house and property, let's have a look at yours as well. Oh yeah, I forgot for a moment. You're anonymous. We can't look at yours... Moving on now...
