CHRISTMAS AT THE FIREHOUSE 2015
Station 17 red shift with Rob Anderson and his Niece Christi Bristow (Photo By: OCFD firefigher)
Christmas at the Firehouse this year was a bit different for a variety of reasons, but the most relevant is that for the first time, I delivered to two stations.
My Niece, Christi Bristow, met me at station 17 to make that particular delivery due to the fact our family business donated the breakfast. After a short chat, Christi was off to meet the corpulant Gentleman in the red and white suit who was making his rounds, I went to stop two, Station 15
As with 17s, I made the delivery and had a short chat.

MESSAGE FROM EDITOR
For the past several years, I have designed, written, and edited the CFAAA newsletter, which I called “The Dispatch.”
I really want a break from it, and hope someone will continue the way I have done it over the years. It has been as close to the AP style guide (the “bible” of journalism) as possible. During that time, I have gone to stations, events, meetings and more, plus done countless hours of research over the internet and other sources to find interesting articles about fire service and OCFD. It has been an enjoyable effort. One I take, possibly, too much pride in. This is my college degree field, so, I strive to use that education to everyone’s benefit.
Since the recent death of my Mother, many unexpected changes have transpired in my life. Therefore, it is with mixed emotion, I announce to you that this will be my final edition of the Dispatch. Thank you for all the compliments over the years and the encouragement. Those things mean a lot.
