CFAAA – Hospitality Chairperson Responsibilities
I.Arrange monthly CFAAA meetings
a.Notify OCFD stations prior to meeting date
1.Meeting locations can be set at the beginning of the year (as they were this year) or months at a time. At year end, a vote by membership might be a good idea
2.Get input from membership for ideas on other meeting locations, such as 911 (ECC), Operations, EOC or WRFD.
3.Call at least 1 shift ahead (the shift that will be there on meeting day) to make sure the station has been notified by Operations, so that additional chairs/tables can be provided. If they have not been notified, contact Tess in Operations, 297-3335.
b.Supply necessary items for CFAAA meetings
1.Paper goods (can be purchased in amounts that can be comfortably stored until the next meeting).
2.Soft Drinks and Bottled Water (opened bottles or partial cases of water should be left at the station).
4.Ice
5.Stations may provide tea and coffee (ask when you call).
6.Special items (holiday decorations, candy, cake etc.) if desired.
7.Present purchase receipts to Treasurer for reimbursement (it is helpful to have only CFAAA items on a single receipt, since receipts are retained by the Treasurer.)
8.Thank you card can be sent to station after the monthly meeting has taken place, if desired.
II.Help coordinate the annual Citizen’s Fire Academy’s first night refreshments (in September).
c. Notify secretary of agenda items, (such as plans for future meetings etc.) prior to scheduled monthly meeting.
2. Assist with special CFA Class ceremonies.
a. Usually cake and sandwiches are provided on the first night of each new CFA class (the first Thurs. after Labor Day).
b. Cake is also provided at the graduation ceremony (last class night).
3. Assist with other OCFD or CFA functions as requested.
Note: Additional help from membership can be requested at anytime, if necessary, to help with duties. If you are unable to attend a meeting, arrangements should be made in advance to provide the necessary items to the appropriate meeting location.
