Christmas at The Fire House

CATF

How it works: A member, or group of members, adopt a station to take breakfast to on Christmas morning. About a week or so before Christmas, you call ahead to the shift officer for the shift that will be on duty on Christmas morning at your station, and find out how many guys will be working on Christmas morning. You purchase breakfast items (unprepared) for those firefighters (like sausage, eggs, milk, hash browns, juice, bacon, biscuits, fruit, muffins, pancake mix, etc. whatever you think sounds good). You take the groceries up to the station on Christmas morning and read a poem (to be provided) to them and tell them how much we appreciate them giving up their holiday to stand by and care for the citizens of OKC. We usually get a gift certificate from a local grocer to help with the costs.
