Today (1/23/08) Duke Power started installing the street lights on Murrayhill! They only made it from Woodlawn down to Gilmore today, which was 3 new poles and 2 changeouts. At this rate it will probably be a couple of weeks before all of the lights are installed on Murrayhill (4700-5600 blocks only) and White Oak.

Update

As of 2/1/08, lights had been installed along Murrayhill from Woodlawn to W. Wedgewood (4700-5400 blocks). Remaining is the 5500-5600 block of Murrayhill, plus all of White Oak.

And one final update


All lights are installed! Three are not working and I'm looking into those. One is on Murrayhill between Currituck and White Oak, and the other two are on White Oak close to Murrayhill.

Duke Energy called  yesterday to say the last non working light should be up and working in a couple of days.  There was a problem with connecting the power due to a tree.  The resident according to Duke Energy was in the process of removing the tree yesterday and Duke expected to have this last light working very soon.
