April Meeting
On Monday, April 18th at 7:30 PM at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Barbara Fluck, Plainville Historic Commission member presents ''Happy 100th Birthday Plainville''. The town of Plainville will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2005 and has a number of events scheduled for later in the year. Barbara will give us the highlights of Plainville's history and share many stories of her life in our neighboring town.
May Breakfast
We will hold our annual May breakfast and open house on Sunday, May 1st. A breakfast of ham, scrambled eggs, potato, baked beans, muffins, pies and beverages will be served for $6 for adults and $3 for children from 8:30 to 11:30 in the Little Red Schoolhouse. The price also includes a tour of the Woodcock Garrison House, which will be open from 9 until noon. We will once again be calling upon our members to provide homemade muffins and pies, our biggest attraction for this event! If you don?’t cook, you might consider making a monetary donation, which will be used to purchase advertising. Please tell your friends and neighbors to come join us for breakfast!
Yard Cleanup
On the morning of April 23rd, we will hold our annual spring yard cleanup in preparation for welcoming guests to our May Breakfast and open house. Please bring a rake or broom along and help us out. In case of rain, we will try again on April 30th. If these dates don?’t work for you, feel free to do a little sweeping or raking at your own convenience.
New Members
We would like to welcome new members Francis and Diane Finnegan of 182 Kelley Blvd. in North Attleborough. The Finnegan?’s have attended several of our recent meetings and we hope to see often at future events.

President's Letter
The recent rains and wind have made a mess of our parking lot, which is covered with silt from the stream and grounds, which are covered with branches from our trees. I would appreciate some help in cleaning it up. Should you have an hour or two to help, just swing by at your convenience to lend a hand. This would also be a great project for any children or grandchild that is looking to do community work!
The yard is being cleaned in preparation for the May Breakfast. Money raised from this event are needed for some of the maintenance projects that we have planned so we need your help in getting us more diners. Be sure to invite all of your friends and relatives!
I've updated our website (http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/org/nahistorical) to add our newsletter and a calendar of events as well as other minor changes. I have also added a link to a site containing Maxcy Family history. Let me know what you think of the changes.
A pasta and meatball supper is planned for April 30th at the Elks Club in North Attleboro. The supper will be prepared by members of the North Attleboro Fire Dept. The event is a fundraiser for the Falls Fire Barn Museum and is sponsored by the local St. Jean?’s Duvernay Council. As treasurer of the North Attleborough Falls Fire Barn Preservation Society I will be selling tickets for this event. See me at the meeting for tickets or more information.
It is almost time to elect a new slate of officers and trustees. I feel that it is really time for some new blood on the board and offices. You can expect a call from the nominating committee. I hope that you will consider joining and participating; you?’ll find it a rewarding experience.
Sincerely,
Bob Lanpher
