I also think the first posting was juvenile and silly-something a kid would do.
As far as ANY loud vehicles in a matter of days the Common Council will be signing the new ordinance regarding loud car music-then anyone with the description of the vehicle, plate # and/or name/description of driver in to the Police non-emergency number at 933-4444 and a warning will be issued and then a $$$ citation to the registered owner of the vehicle. Yes, there are other vehicles bumping through the neighborhood, and ALL offenders should be dealt with via the new ordinance.
This should tame down the noise.
If music from a home or business is too loud, where you can hear it in your home and/or it disturbs the quiet enjoyment of your home, the police non-emergency # should be called and a complaint be made. The loud music does not have to happen after 10 pm to be offensive and citable.
If someone feels their child is endangered by erratic drivers, OR if a parent appears not tobe minding their child and they are playing in the street, both sides may be guilty and need to work something out as neighbors or there is always the option of police involvement.
Let's spend less time B____ing here and get out and enjoy the weather and get to know our neighbors! The flip side of this is it's a good opportunity to be out and see what's going on and be aware of problems.
