commercial trains
Could someone who has lived in this neighborhood since before the light rail please tell me whether the commercial trains used the Evans area to take breaks, switch drivers, etc? In other words, was the constant deep hum and revving of train engines present at all hours of the day and night BEFORE the Evans station went in? Because if they used a different part of the rail line we might be able to make a case to have them go back there, freeing our area of that annoying noise. That would improve the quality of life for those of us in the immediate area, and also facilitate development around the Evans station.

Even if they have been taking breaks there for a long time, it is about time they stopped.  There are better places along the line with less residential use around them where the trains can rumble to themselves.

I'm with YOU!  Does any one have any clue how we could propose a change?
