On the 2018 general election ballot, City of Charlotte voters have the opportunity to approve a $223 million bond referenda package that will fund construction and revitalization of transportation corridors including streets and sidewalks, affordable housing, and improvements to neighborhoods in established and emerging high-growth areas.
Voters will find the bonds at the end of the ballot in the referenda section following the six constitutional amendments.

Early Voting Begins Next Wednesday
Early voting starts for North Carolina residents on October 17. Across Charlotte, there are 19 locations to cast a ballot early, 7 AM-7 PM during the weeks of October 17-November 2, and select weekend days with varying hours.

Know Your Ballot Before You Go
Before you vote, become familiar with your ballot. The city bonds referenda are at the very end of your ballot, following the six constitutional amendments. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will my taxes go up with a "yes" vote?
A: No. The financing costs for these bonds are included in the current city budget, which included a one-quarter cent property tax increase for debt service. No additional property tax increase will be required to pay for these bonds.
