The people next door to us are always playing music to the point that you can hear it through the walls and over our TV. Is there anything that can be done to keep it at a normal level? It is so frustrating to have to listen to it when you just want a quiet day or night at home. Why can't people be more considerate of there neighbors?

Have you let them know?

Are you in a single family home? If so, WOW... they're music must be unreasonably loud! If you're in a townhome, still... if you can't hear your television at a normal volume, that's unacceptable!

Have you tried asking them to turn it down? If that didn't work, have you called the police? I would, if asking them didn't do any justice. You should be able to enjoy your home without someone else's LOUD noise. Everyday noise is fine, but unreasonably loud where you can't think straight isn't good.

I am in a townhouse and it is ridiculous how loud it is. We have addressed it with them once. I guess we will have to see what happens now. When we questioned the police they said they couldn't do anything about it. It's a civil matter and we could take them to court if we want to but, they wouldn't do anything. The whole thing is a joke.
