PICNIC DATE SET

Mark your calendars--Saturday, August 12th is the day of the annual Nicholson Block picnic held again at the Herrick?’s house, 81 Nicholson.

University Heights Collaborative Meeting

There will be a meeting on July 25 at 6:30 of the University Heights collaborative, a group of residents in the heights area interested in bettering the community. We have been invited to attend to discuss what we have done as a block club. The meeting is at 85 Heath Street. Information about the meeting is on the back of this flyer.

Old Tracks Update
There has been much activity regarding the old railroad tracks at the end of our street lately. A builder propose developing the area from the LaSalle parking lot to Starin. including connecting our street to the other side of the old tracks. We have expressed our strong concerns regarding connecting our street to the other Nicholson which would greatly increase traffic and devalue our property. The area is owned by the NFTA but the city is now involved trying to obtain the land so they can control what is done with the space. Sam Hoyt recently toured the area with members of the University Heights Collaborative and members of our block club and vowed to work towards developing the bike path that has been designated for the area.
