Another lateril/sewer pipe break?

Noticed this morning that there was water bubbling up at the curb creating a small river in front of 539? North 40th-either another lateril or sewer pipe break.

We received a letter from the Mayor in response to the one we sent in spring questioning this ongoing problem. As soon as my scanner is in order I will scan it in and post on this site so everyone can read it. Basically it says MMSD will be having the responsibility of looking into these issues.

Well, apparently it is a lateral as Ken was told it is his problem to solve and not the city's so it runs. I will keep you all up to date if I hear anything else. I assume the issue of it not being fixed is money. So...

So who's problem will it be when the running water undermines that big tree which will either fall on the guys house or better yet falls on the power line and takes out the power to the rest of the Valley ?   Maybe then the Mayor or Murphy will have time to help things move along. Who is paying for all the water that is being wasted ????????  Our city is so screwed up its a wonder anything ever gets taken care of .

I'm wondering if there is a lateral problem on Wells Street behind the Wisconsin Humane Society too?   There are a couple of spots where water is trickling from the street.  I had emailed Alderman Murphy a year or so ago about these spots and he said that the street was scheduled for repair this year.   Obviously that didn't happen.   Then I heard that the city wants Miller Brewery to pay for some of the repair cost because it's the trucks that are doing the damage to the street.
