Two Seats Available

There are two unexpired seats available for the position of District I Commissioner. Anyone interested must reside within the boundaries of District I - West bounday I-71, East boundary, West side of Champion, North boundary I-670, South boundary, North side of Broad Street.

Cover Letter and Resumes

Interested parties should provide a cover letter and brief resume. The cover letter must state for which position on the Commission you are interested and indicate both on the letter the current address and phone. The cover letter should be addressed to Commissioner Annie Womack, Director, NEAC Elections Committee c/o Near East Pride Center, 1393 E. Broad Street.

Deadline

Cover letters and resumes must be dropped off at the Near East Pride Center no later than Friday, March 2, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. NEAC's General Business Meeting is the second Thursday of each month. the Zoning Committee meets on the third Tuesday, and the Planning Committee meets on the third Thursday. Applicants must be available to attend the General Business Meeting
and one of the Committee meetins each month with the exception of August. The Zoning Committee has an additional responsibility of site hearings which involve meeting at the location of proposed zoning application.
Further questions can be directed to Commissioner Womack at 614-531-2700. The election will take place at the March 8, 2007 NEAC General Meeting at 950 E.Main Street at 6:30 P.M. Applicants who have been certified as living in the area they wish to represent, must be present for the election.
