PULSE Builds a Community

PULSE has once again joined hands with an agency that is working to make great improvements in our city! The Nashville Rotary club, which has aimed to better nashville in past years, has now taken on a new project in the Fisk-Meharry neighborhood. On May 20, PULSE volunteersworked side-by-side with the downtown Rotary Club to put the finishing touches on a house in the area.

"It was a great feeling - just knowing that work we did will give somebody a home made it all worthwhile. I'm so excited to do another project like this again," said Heather Ludeman, rising senior at Martin Luther King Magnet.

What makes this project so exciting is that the Downtown Rotary Club's plans include not only building one house, but building a community in the Fisk-Meharry area. For year they have built houses in all parts of Nashville, but now they have decided to focus on this area and make it into something that the residents and all of Nashville can be proud of. Needless to say, the Rotary Club has big plans, and PULSE is proud to be a partner of such a huge, community-changing event. We look forward to working with them a lot more in the future.
