I heard that one of the former board members does not want to get Earth Quake Insurance, becuase FEMA will help us. Unfortunately, that board member was misinformed. FEMA will help homeowners first, not a business. Bay Terrace Pines is a business and files taxes as so. Businesses should protect their investments. We the homeowners are investors. Our investments are not protected. I would rather pay a $6000.00 deductible instead of $120000.00 deductible. I think we the homeowners should decide in a vote regarding this issue, not the board of directors.
