Are parts of West Hills REALLY in Las Virgenes USD?

Why is it like that?

I live in Texas (which has districts which cross city boundaries), but thought all of L.A. was in LAUSD.

Why haven't the LVUSD people of West Hills joined LAUSD?

Yes there is a small portion of West Hills (near Valley Circle) that is in the LVUSD's boundries. Also there are some of us who are on "permit" into LVUSD. Las Vigenes School District is a small but excellent school district. The schools are world class ! Also in West Hills we have one of the best Highs Schools (El Camino) middle (Hale) and Elementary (Welby Way). We chose LVUSD because of IB (international Bac. Classes) and Language options (Chinese) for son. SO basically in West Hills .. we have the best of LAUSD and LVUSD -- what a great deal !.
