North Cliff Neighborhood Association

Beautification budget shortfall

Jun 22, 2002

If you hope the end of the year will bring less heavy equipment and fewer detours in our neighborhood, your wish may come true. The largest paving project to date within North Cliff boundaries is nearly complete. New road construction of Ravinia, from Clarendon to Catherine, as well as 12th street are almost complete. Curbs and sidewalks will help with erosion and allow safer pedestrian traffic. As part of these significant improvements, the North Cliff Neighborhood Association continued its commitment to add the colored and brick-stamped concrete at the pedestrian ramps at new intersections. It?’s an attractive feature that helps distinguish our special area.

Association dues have been used to pay for our part in the project. Since the recent streets included so many intersections, the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League pledged $3,500 to help us, with North Cliff needing to raise an additional $3,000 in matching funds. Our recent dues drive brought in roughly $1,000, so we?’ve reached a third of our goal. If you have already sent your $10 dues or a larger gift, THANK YOU! Otherwise, at this time of giving, please consider making a contribution to your neighborhood, as we try to make it a prettier place to live.

Use the self-addressed-stamped envelope to mail in your contribution.
