CPAAA inauguration of new board members and honoring officers of the NYPD at our dinner dance in November 2005.

CPAAA Helps Coordinate Antiterrorism Presentations

CPAAA members, at the request of the Deputy Commissioner of Community Affairs, helped arrange for anti-terrorism presentations to be presented to community groups, religious organizations, and precinct community councils. Our members became the police’s liaison to community groups through our organization. We also arranged for presentations to city agencies (where some of our members are employed)

CPAAA Members Fingerprint Children
Our members continued our fingerprinting and photographing of children and giving the information to the child’s parent.

CPAAA Membership Survey
The CPAAA took a survey of our membership. There is now a database of information regarding our own membership and who would be available to volunteer.

Counting the Homeless
The Department of Homeless services asked, and our members participated with them, in the count of the homeless population of New York.

CPAAA Awards Our Members Certificates of Appreciation
In 2005 We presented awards to our members that have helped our organization, the police department, the citizens of our city. In addition, at each meeting we recognized and celebrated with our members who had been presented with awards.

In 2005 the CPAAA Awarded Certificates of Appreciation and gave our mugs to Officers of the department.

Our members have nominated officers to be honored this year.

The CPAAA had a special meeting at the police academy. We were given a tour and were able to observe the training of new cadets. The association awarded a special plaque to Chief Pizzuti to thank her for all of her support.

CPAAA Members attend seminars with police officers
Our members were given the opportunity to attend seminars on ethics with Sergeants of NYPD at the Police Academy. We hope to be able to continue to participate in education with police officers .

Community Mayors Holiday Party
The CPAAA members again participated and volunteered at the Community Mayors holiday party for 5,000 handicapped children at Hangar 19 at JFK airport.

Community Mayors Circus Visit
The CPAAA members again participated and volunteered to help when the community Mayors took handicapped children to the circus.

CPAAA Members Participate at Harmony Picnics
Our members participated at harmony picnics held by the patrol boroughs.

CPAAA Members Meet with the Borough Commanders in Many Patrol Boroughs of the City.
In some patrol boroughs our members meet with the borough commanders to discuss issues in their community.

CPAAA Members Give Presentation to the New Officers
Some members of the CPAAA were asked by NYPD to give presentations to the new officers during their orientation sessions at the patrol boroughs. In addition, some of our members were asked by their local precincts to speak to the new officers assigned to their precincts.

CPAAA Members serve as receptionists at some precincts
Our members are volunteer receptionists at some precincts.

A new class graduates from the Citizens Police Academy.
Our members will be given the opportunity to speak to the students during their class and we were privileged to attend the graduation. We welcome these new graduates to our alumni organization.

CPAAA supports the NYPD

During 2005, there were officers who died in the line of duty. CPAAA members expressed our condolances to the families of these officers. Our membership attended the wakes and the funerals . In addition, to help the officers at the affected precincts the CPAAA membership set up breakfast at the precincts on the day of the funeral for the officers in the affected commands.
