Northwest Interstate Coalition of Neighborhoods (NICON)

The NICON area has seen so much growth and changes but why do we sometimes want to move away or work someplace else? What do you think are weaknesses or needs improvements in and around the NICON area?
They can be poor location to live/work because...
There are questionable bussinesses at ... We don't have this or that...

I want to gather as much of your thoughts about this so that your voice can be put into our and the City's Neighborhood Plan for the NICON area.

Three Weaknesses

1. Traffic @ Prue, Fredericksburg, Heubner intersection during AM/PM rush hours.
2. Traffic @ DeZavala exit during PM rush hour stacking back into IH-10.
3. Traffic @ IH-10 & DeZavala, along to fronting HEB & WalMart locations. Congestion even not during rush hour periods. Traffic light synchronization is off or could be improved.

Your comments are right on the target!
But what about other areas in and around the Medical Center. Specifically the log jam during the traditional rush hours. I'm talking about all along Medical Drive especially at Fredericksburg. The new cut off from IH-10 to Medical just seems to exacerbate the medical center traffic. Can you imagine when the Wurzbach Parkway gets finally built? A fire hose into the medical center but little thought about the inner roads in the medical center to handle the rush of traffic. Maybe synchronize stop lights or have smart sensors to detect number of cars waiting per intersection to space out crossings. What do you think.
