If you feel guilt OR pride based on an accident of birth, you're being silly. You can think a culture is neat (or horrible), but to be PROUD (or ashamed) that you are white, or black, or Indian, or anything else, kind of implies that you deserve some credit (or blame) for being born that way. I don't know about you, but I wasn't given a choice of where, or to whom, I was going to be born.

I'm an equal opportunity statist basher. I condemn all authoritarian aggressors regardless of race, religion, nationality, etc. But for some reason, when I bash WHITE tyrannical, murderous assholes, some pack-mentality doofuses interpret that as me having "white guilt." I have exactly NO guilt for all the evil crap done by OTHER white people, because I didn't do it. I also take no pride in what other white people have invented, built, or accomplished, because I didn't do it.
