Okey dokey Mallory,

It's a similar take on several other studies. But that growth is almost meaningless. Sorry to say those several million jobs were  added by under stock then diminished by over-stocked supplies, state and government jobs both beginning and ending and seasonal agricultural needs, all likely to come up no matter who took over in 2008. It's growth but meager at best, and of course the endless exodus of jobs that I thoroughly blame on free trade as anyone with eyes and a mortgage and a need for a decent job can tell you. In some sectors that's an under estimate as well. But Lord knows he must always deal with this gridlock that by and large both parties are responsible. This all comes down to the old clinton tag it's the economy stupid, and even he signed the first free trade deal. Now we have a man who signed yet three more. Nit a good omen for much more growth. But to this graph, sure it's positive but no where nearly what we should be seeing or at least what the people expected from such a hopeful president.

I like to think it's a pretty good record.   Bush losing jobs at the rate of 800,000 per month and Obama turning that around his first year in office to gaining jobs at 200,000 per month and maintaining that rate for the next two years.   That all happening while government jobs are being reduced and the lovelies in the House and Senate doing everything they can to make him "fail" and assure "he is a one term President".   Even if it destroyed the economy.

The biggest trade deals preceded him in office and I don't think the effects of those signed while he's been in office have been measured yet.  They could be positive or negative.

In fact, the total number of jobs lost under Obama is more than we lost under Bush. We're just now losing them at a slower rate.

And the slower rate is not due to anything the Obumbler has done.  It is just the last dribbles of sand running out of the top of the hour glass.  Eventually there are less jobs to lose.  Therefore the rate slows down.  The cumulative number of jobs lost is significantly greater under the first 3 1/2 years of Obumbler than it was under Bush for his entire 8 years.

Mallory.

I guess I wasn't speaking for his record since it's still growing, just the graph's point.

800,000 per month in the last few months of Bush' terms obviously didn't compare to obama's term total since--- when Bush left he had only begun to get the numbers escalating daily by our freshly revealed global disaster. To some, that might sound encouraging, but it really isn't was my point. One could argue that when you consider ALL factors involved with it's causes and the short period of time Bush stood at the wheel once the realizations we were in crisis took pur attention, until obama took over,----- well a whole clearer picture comes into focus. I do have to agree that if the roles were reversed the house would be saying the same thing about the senate. It wasn't a secret by any means thjat the republicans major goal was to see him fail and that's another of my problems with the new republican party. The dems were obstructionists too, so both majorities deserve to be voted out. I think it helps to look at it this way---

----You take an engineer working on a dam. That engineer oversees a major breach that begins a flood of epic proportion, so the next crew comes along to replace that engineer and before the damage can be repaired the epic event turns biblical. Finally few repairs are in place and the time comes to decide the fate of the second engineer. Do you try to understand the first engineer has caused the trouble(joblessness) and blame him for the damage or do we blame the engineer that moved in to save the day as it were? The destruction of our economy  was a multi fold attack that began with a 30 yr period of deregulation, corporate and financial institutions  federal infiltration and super greed, with collusion and complacency by several administrations and congresses. Obama has only added to that mentality by giving corperica three more free trade deals and lining his nest with an entire herd of bankers and brokers as Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush did. My God, you just don't fill the hen house with foxes and expect everything to be okay the next morning. A super sized trojan horse was set up by all of them and now obama has the highest number of financial interlopers than any of his predecessors. I think we CAN doubtlessly say that these 3 more FTD's he signed are going to be bad as any of the other 7. You just don't sound to be that naive. It's one HUGE SNAFU and we all in the real world know it. That's also why it was done in the deepest silence and lack of ceremony whil;e we were all looking the other way. It does make me wonder just what he's up to. And looooooooooook at all the so called corruption dislike, SEC, lobying, fed and banking reform(nothing real), and taking back America from the the thieves and liars in washington. Nothing got done to stop these crooks and liars and to prove that, just look at the losses today and the response globally, no ma am, nothing has changed and for the last time, it had better or we are just SCR-----, well you know what I mean. However for me, I don't see Romney doing any better so what are we to trust in anymore?  In spite of his running mate I thought McCain the better of the two.
