Wish my spelling was equally as correct. I mean "given".

I don't believe I'm admitting to any error.  I think I posted that I was not able to find the version that Mallory supplied, and later was able to find it.  She never supplied us with a source, and I was never able to understand how what she added proved that we negotiate with terrorists.  And you sir, were wrong any way you look at it.  I do think that it's good that Mallory, so often in error in the past, was finally able to do some research that actually existed.  It seems that since this "no concessions" policy was in place in the '86 policy report, and since Rice confirmed the no negotiation policy in '04, unless the current administration has drafted some new policy we still don't negotiate with terrorists. 

I'm no example.  Just one of the idiots.

After further review, I believe that I'll take the trail blazed by Double D, Chosen, and other Neighborhood all-stars and just hang around for awhile.  I stand by what I said.  I was rude.  Yep.  Being called an idiot will do that to a guy.  I apologized to Mallory for thinking she was dishonest.  Yep again. She's not bright enough to be that devious. And in your case, I think that rude works better, so will just continue on that path in your case.  Idiot.

"The White House maintains that the US government does not negotiate with terrorists."

White House???? Golly gee...I wonder who the president was in July of 2009?
