I did manage to find the paragraph that she quotes on the Hathi Trust Digital Libary website.  So Mallory was correct in that those words were indeed a part of the document that TP insisted did not exist.  Then of course, it all falls to how you want to interpret government BS.  Claiming that the government will "talk to anyone" and then say later that they will "make no concessions, it will not pay ransoms, release prisoners, change it's policies, or agree to other acts etc...."  That tells me we won't negotiate.

It's like trying to read an insurance policy.  But kudos to Mallory for digging out this discrepency.  Draw your own conclusions.

My apologies to Mallory for doubting her honesty.  I did also find the magic words after more reading, and agree with Nigel that they are contradictory at best.  I believe that the mention of no concessions simply rules out negotiation.   However, I was rude and out of line in my accusations.  I will sign off for good and wish you all good day.  I might suggest that the other posters who are rude and use words such as "Idiots" do the same.  I assure you that if we rudeniks were not here, there would be many more posters.

How did Reagan get the hostages out of Iran?

Nice try, davie...but what happened 30 years ago has nothing to do with current policies. Besides, dummy, Reagan was sworn in on the very day the last hostages were released. He didn't do it. What a moron! No one posting here has demonstrated more ignorance on US history than you!

The point was not Reagan, but their freedom being negotiated. Again no US policy has been presented. What has been stated as so easy to Google remains elusive to our conservative members.

So then....anything YOU claim is not the point...after your errors are pointed out? Aren't you the one saying Google was so easy to use?
