1.  If the Obumbler gets credit for getting Osama, then Nixon should have got the credit for landing men on the moon, not Kennedy.  I don't remember Nixon or his regime taking any of the credit personally for the moon landing; and I was there.

The Intellectual Dishonesty of Nancy Pelosi

Peter Wehner 05.03.2011 - 9:40 AM

Here’s Nancy Pelosi from a press conference on September 7, 2006:

"[E]ven if [Osama bin Laden] is caught tomorrow, it is five years too late. He has done more damage the longer he has been out there. But, in fact, the damage that he has done . . . is done. And even to capture him now I don’t think makes us any safer."

And here’s Nancy Pelosi yesterday:

"The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaida. . . . I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment. . . . [T]he death of Osama bin Laden is historic. . . ."

This devastating then-and-now comparison comes to us courtesy of John Hideraker of Power Line. It underscores the degree to which partisanship can ravage people’s fair-mindedness and, in the process, make them look like fools and hacks. Such things aren’t uncommon in politics—but what is rare is to see such intellectual dishonesty proven so conclusively.

I'm not 100% sure that Nancy is a lying hypocrit, but she can easily be mistaken for one.

Wouldn't it be something if the President had the stones to put the credit for Bin Laden's demise squarely where it belongs, rather than bragging that it was his brilliant actions that made it so?  Does he really think that we don't know about his campaign promise to close Guantanemo, or about his demand that we stop aggressive interrogation of detained prisoners?  Can he at least acknowledge the courage of George W. Bush in standing up to this gutless line of reasoning, and give him the credit for the intel that led to the killing of this bad guy.  Think we'll ever hear the knotheads that screamed about W's illegal wars scream as loud at this action?

It would be refreshing.

This is as predictable as the sun rising in the east.   The conservatives yelling "Give Bush the credit"

So Idiot Number Two (keep working at it....you'll make number one soon enough), what part of SL's facts do you disagree with.  It was intelligence gained from water-boarding at Guantanemo that led to the killing of Bin Laden.  And it is quite true that Obama opposed both.

Is it so hard for you to acknowledge that now, after what has happened, W was right all along?

"...and other nations who supported this effort..."

I thought it was secret and nobody knew?????

Well, Mr mall...the waterboarding that got the intell, that lead to bin laden, was done under Bush; if'n y'all commie-libs don't remember blaming him for it....

Also predictable, say Bush/Cheny's waterboarding did it.

I don't believe you are privy to the information that was used to locate bin Laden.   Those who are, are pretty cautious about saying waterboarding had anything to do with it.
