It seems Mr. Lofgren and his boss Kaufmann were sleeping at the wheel. Iowa Legislature had an opportunity to get 14 million in unemployment benefits from the federal government as a part of stimulus plan.   Old Mark & Jeffe boy were more worried whether or not their neighbor was gay, they had enough juice to decide who should get pregnant, and stop preschoolers from going to school.  So they let the deadline slip by.  Gross incompetent legislature.  

Then old Jeffe gets caught with the mike on.  We fellow Republicans maybe should change to a different party, like the Citizens for the United States of Corporations.  Every Republican is entitled to own at least one or two hourly workers.  If you don't believe that, ask the Governor of Wisconsin.

What pray tell will these two poor excuses do in the second half of the session?  There is an old saying which may apply "You can't fix stupid"

What a bunch of BS! You libs have NO idea that businesses pay to fund unemployment? They pay unemployment insurance taxes. You libs hate big business and the evil capitalists. Yet, you want Iowa to take federal monies for unemployment extensions? I thought you libs wanted the rich to pay for things? If Iowa takes federal monies, then the businesses do not have to pay it. Are you two insane? Hey, mall, I need some updates to my RV that I don't want to pay for. Could you cover the costs from your and other libs' tax returns for me? That federal money would be really great! Thanks!
