WHAT DOES THE BILL OF RIGHTS SAY!!!

Posted in: Muscatine

Sure...except there is no beat-up with a legitimate questioning on the logic of the post! Surely, even you mallcontent, can see the diconnect between asking what the bill of rights says, vs his comments on elections and political parties, since the two are not connected! However, I see you have no input on his posts, other than to attack mine? Can "I" post without getting beat up by you?

What a double standard you present, mallcontent! I love it when you step on your _____ like this.

Well? (Keeping it current)

There needs to be no connection.   We all can exercise the option at the top of the page which says "Start a new discussion".

We're not bound by your rules.

Of course I have no input.   They're his posts.   Attack?   Maybe question what you are trying to say.   It's often not clear.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

my point is that the very oath they swear to is about defending nothing BUT the constitution. It is in plain english and to the point. when you are in a political party and go with  the party you are not choosing the best candidate for the republic, but the candidate from your party. all I'm saying is we have done that for fifty years and look at the mess the country is in.

When you continue to vote for the same guy election after election we get people that know they do not have to honor their oath. I say if you take an elected position and swear an oath to PROTECT and DEFEND the constitution, then as soon as you get elected you vote for, sign into or anything else that violates the constitution. you should be removed from your position. I have even seen people post here that they are voting for the lesser of two evils because they will not vote outside their party, So they have put their party before the republic. That is why we are where we are at!

Where in the constitution does it say you can have _ the patriot act, fisa, military comm act, nafta, the federal reserve, war on drugs, SSI, wars without a declaration, homeland security, executive orders and so on!!!
