Ok, so in two years and ten months it will have been fifty years since the assassination of John F Kennedy, on april 27, 1961 he gave his secret society speech. On january 17, 1961 Dwight D Eisenhower gave his speech warning about the military industrial complex. They both warned us about government that grows too big!
with that said, in the fifty years since those speeches the office of president has been democrats or republicans. We can also safely say that republicans and democrats have controlled the house and senate.
So with that said, how has their track record been, are we stronger, are we industrial giants, is our education the top in the world, are we just as free, are we still the richest nation, does everyone around the world still want the American dream and is our economy strong.
I say heck no we are in trouble, in the middle of two wars, industrial giants- we lost so much manufacturing, our education has plummeted, free speech zones, patriot act, spying on americans, torturing, richest nation- what with like 9 trillion dollars in debt- no I say we are broke, yeah if you're chinese, dollar worth two cents of its starting value, unemployment and homelessness up.
The departments set up to protect, educate and help us are failures, they are all doing a bad job. Immigration out of control, education is plummeting, CIA failed us, FEMA failed New Orleans, DEA is losing, children and family services is a mess, norad failed us, FDA can't protect the food, EPA can't protect the environment, regulators failed to stop the house bubble and loan defaults, congress didn't protect our jobs, border patrol can't protect the border and welfare system creates system dependents
So I say this is the fault of two parties- the republicans and the democrats. Now we can bicker whose party did the most and worst but that won't solve no problems. What we need is the members of these two parties to stand up as adults and to look at their own party, too see what mistakes their party has made. It takes an adult to face his errors and failures and correct them. Show that you love this country more than you love your party.
With that said, I'll throw out some of the stuff I feel has not been good for America- patriot act, stimulus package, obama care, iran-contra, watergate, drug war, military commission act, free trade agreements, spying on Americans, torture, two wars, homeland security, Somalia, lebanon, amnesty, nixon and carter.
So show that you love your country more than you love your party and own your parties mistakes and failures. Does anyone care about America or are they more worried about their party winning no matter how bad it will be for America!!! I say it is the latter and to prove it I bet not one dem or rep will own up to their patry's mistakes and fialures. What say you!!!
