Muscatine

For our friend Mallodope, in the spirit of reaching across the aisle, the first quote mentioning knives and guns being brought to a fight, occured in Philadelphia in 2008 at an election fundraiser.  At the time, Republican candidate John McCain expressed some dismay at the comment considering Obama's stated views on gun control.  Do you really not remember seeing him say this on the evening news?

Now run along Mal, google yourself silly, and be done with it. Chances are better than good that you won't let a little fact get in the way of your screwed up point of view anyway. 

For what it's worth, I've been trying to go through item by item and find the speech, etc. Thanks to an old and slow computer prone to freeze-ups, it's an impossible task for me at this time. So, you can claim a "win" by a technicality. But in real life, we all know these phrases have been said by Obama and covered by the news media.

I can't believe that true Americans would want to live in a society where the barometer/regulator for free speech is based on how a lunatic might react tothat speech.  In direct contrast to our founding fathers and their ideals, the liberals are trying to create some kind of strange society where that kind of thing would be considered normal (among other perversions).
