in economics, political science and sociology at Yale U.; Cambridge U. (England); and Northwestern U.Practical enlightenment came with 3.5 years in US Intelligence (National Security Agency); 2 years in the intelligence Branch of the US State Department; 27 years in the US Diplomatic Service (Africa, Near East, Far East, Europe and the UN in NY); and a life diligently dedicated to finding the truth behind world events. During much of my diplomatic career, I had a front row seat at the drama playing out behind the scenes at the Theater of the World. Knowledge is Power Discovering the truth requires an open mind and a willingness to shift old paradigms, permitting the true reality of events in the physical world to dawn unfettered no matter how weird, unbelievable or unpleasant. This is something that seems quite difficult for many people to do; but an understanding of physical world events can be helpful in deciding the best move in an ever faster evolving world. The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7 THEME: Whether you are Libertarian, Republican, Christian, Socialist, Black, Democrat, Conservative, White, Buddhist, Liberal or of any other persuasion, this is a message for you. It gives verified facts to help you understand what drives our present, complicated world and your Government. It is a tale of unmitigated, heartless greed of which we are the victims. GLOBALIZATION DEFINED: Elitism, Internationalism, World Federalism, One World Order, New World order...elimination of the middle class and further impoverishment of the poor by the global elite to facilitate their control of the world. Patrick Wood started researching and documenting the activities of the Trilateral Commission in October,1975. He founded the August Review (AR) in 1978, to continue tracking the TRICOM, then seen as the very core of elitism and multi-nationalism in the US and abroad. AR Credo: 1. Follow the money, follow the power 2. Discern illusion from reality 3. Listen to experts who offer meaningful critiques. 4. Study and verify sources and footnotes ELITISM? WHO ARE THE GLOBAL ELITE? [Keep in mind that the Elite, as you will see, have been behind every world locus of power (such as those below) for many decades.] Corporate who create the goals for Globalization Academic who produce studies and white papers that justify Corporate's goals Political who sell the Academics' arguments to the public and, as necessary, change laws to accommodate and facilitate Corporations in getting what they want Media, An ancillary player dominated by members of the corporate, political and academic who sit on the boards of the major media organizations COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS (CFR): Prior to the formation of the TRICOM (below) in 1973, the CFR was the significant body of global-minded elitists in the US. As far back as 1959 the CFRwas explicit about a need for world government. Among its tenets: "The US must strive to build a new international order including states labeling themselves as 'socialist' to maintain and gradually increase the authority of the UN. The Rockefellerfamily donated the site for the UN. The CFR membership roster is a who's who of the elitist eastern establishment; but the CFRbecame too large and diverse to act as a ‘cutting edge’ in global policy creation.” (AR) TRILATERAL COMMISSION (TRICOM) In 1973, DavidRockefeller and Zbigniew Berzezinski seeing the shortcomings of the CFR, created The TRICOM. Rockefeller was the corporate expert & Berzezinski was the academic guru. It numbered some 300 elite corporate, political and academic leaders from North America, Japan, and Europe. Jimmy Carterwas handpicked by TRICOM to win the presidential election in 1976. Once inaugurated, Carter brought 18 fellow members of the TRICOM into top-level cabinet and government agency positions. The AR states: "The pernicious influence of the TRICOM and its dominance of the U.S. Executive branch remain unchallenged to this day. Ronald Reagan was not a member of the TRICOM, but his Vice President, George H. W. Bush, was a member. The 1988 election of George H.W. Bush to the presidency further consolidated TRICOM influence in the U.S.In 1992, TRICOM member William Clinton followed in the presidency and contributed greatly to the cause of globalization. In 2000, George W. Bush, elected President, was not a member but it is easily demonstrated that Bush was closely aligned with and totally dedicated to TRICOM goals along with Dick Cheney who was a member of the Commission as was Cheney's wife." Obviously, Corporate's partnership with Political, Academic and Media (and now Government!) has been very successful...all under the aegis of the Elite. The TRICOM Original Membership: 1973-1978 (see August Review) Bank for International Settlements (BIS) “The BIS, founded in 1930 during the period of troubled economic times, is a privateBank (as are most central banks including our own Federal Reserve, FED) in Basle Switzerland. It was funded by the Central Banks of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. The FED did not join the BIS but 3 US banks did: J.P. Morgan, 1st Nat'l Bank of NY and 1st Nat'l Bank ofChicago. It is self-described as "The Central Bank for all Central Bankers." Just as the Elite who control them, the BISoffices, employees, directors and members and their families share total immunity from virtually all regulation, scrutiny and accountability. They are above the law. Movement of money is obscured and hidden when routed through the BIS which is working toward regional currency blocks and, ultimately, a global currency. It has been hugely successful at building the New International Economic Order, along with its attendant initiatives on global governance. It is accountable to no public authority and operates with complete autonomy, self-sufficiency and secrecy." (AR) A BIT OF HISTORY During the three previous centuries, a handful of banker families (Rothschild, Warburg, Schiff...) have devoted their lives to gaining control of our planet. They now have succeeded in doing so. These are the core of the Elite. One of the Rothschild heirs, Nathan Mayer Rothschild, who by 1820 had established a firm grip on the bank of England said, "I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire on which the sun never sets. The man who controls Britain's money supply controls the British Empire and I control the British Money supply." Later, in 1838, Nathan said, "Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation and I care not who makes its laws." And of course Nathan was but one of the Elite scions sent out to gain Elite control over all countries’ money supplies. They have succeeded in doing so. They control our lives for they control the world’s money, the corporations, all branches of governments, the whole shebang. They accomplished all this while we, the world, slept (or remained glued to the elite-controlled TV, Hollywood productions and products of all the rest of the heavily anesthetizing entertainment industries). Who issues and controls the money supply of our nation? The BIS and the FED, both private banks, control the money supply of the USA. The FEDERAL RESERVE ACT OF 1913 brought about the decimation of the US Constitution by giving the private bankers, the FED, control of our currency and our nation. President Wilson said regretfully that this was the biggest mistake of his life. The BIS works with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. At the behest of the Elite it creates inflation and recession in the world economies. It and central banks amass piles of money on the way up and on the way down. The American Taxpayer currently funds the IMF with $37 billion per year. (And the fraudulent, illegal, unconstitutional “Tax”-Collecting IRS is another catastrophe for US citizens...see below). What happens to the “taxes” we pay? The FED’s birth was the culmination of private bankers’ prodigious efforts to keep control over the printing of our country’s currency. Just before Christmas, 1913, when most legislators had gone home, the remaining corrupted lawmakers gave the international banking cartel what it had paid them for: THE (illegal, unconstitutional, un-ratified) Federal Reserve Act of 1913 granting them the sole right to print US currency. The FED lends the money it prints to the US Government (USG). The equally illegal, unconstitutional Internal Revenue Service (IRS) collects from the American public the interest on all the money the FED has printed and lent to the USG and gives it all to the members of the FED who put it in their pockets without a ‘thank you’ to us from whom it was stolen. All the “income tax” money we pay the IRS goes to the FED members, the private bankers (just as the $trillions we spent in bank bailouts recently went into the private bankers’ pockets without a word of thanks to us from whose families it came). BACK TO GLOBALIZATION: In Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, John Perkins shows how US banks enrich themselves and US corporations by lending large amounts of capital to developing countries that use the money to purchase US goods and services to the ruination of the developing countries' economies and the enrichment of the American banks and corporations. Of course I knew some of the economic hitmen who visited countries in which I served. PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: BRAZIL BAILOUT The 1998 Brazilcurrency crisis was caused by that country's inability to pay inordinate accumulated interest on loans made over a protracted period of time by banks such as Citigroup, J.P.Morgan Chase and Fleet Boston. These banks, stood to lose a huge amount of money. The IMF, along with the World Bank and the U.S., bailed outBrazil with a $30 billion package that saved Brazil and its currency and, incidentally, made huge profits for the private banks all at the US taxpayers’ expense. In a press release of 15 Sept, 2002, Congressman BernardSanders (Independent-VT), the Ranking Member of the International Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee, called for an immediate Congressional investigation of the then recent bailout. Sanders said, "At a time when we have a $6 trillion national debt ($16.7 trillion in October, 2010), a growing federal deficit, and an increasing number of unmet social needs for our veterans, seniors, and children, it is unacceptable that billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being sent to the IMF to bail outBrazil. This money is not going significantly to help the poor people of that country. The real winners in this situation are the large, profitable U.S. banks such as Citigroup that have made billions of dollars in risky investments in Brazil and now want to make sure their investments are repaid. This bailout represents an egregious form of corporate welfare that must be ended. Interestingly, these banks have made substantial campaign contributions to both political parties. The policies of the IMF over the past 20 years advocating unfettered free trade, privatizing industry, deregulation and slashing government investments in health, education and pensions has been a complete failure for low income and middle class families in the developing world and in the United States. While Latin American countries such as Brazil and Argentina followed these dictates imposed by the IMF from 1980-2000, per capita income in Latin America grew at only one-tenth the rate of the previous two decades. "Clearly, these policies have helped only corporations in their constant search for the cheapest labor and weakest environmental regulations." Sanders went on: "We need a Congress that will work on a new global policy that protects workers, increases living standards and improves the environment." So a financial circle exists where the IMF and World Bank help nations get into debt; then when these countries can't pay the massive loans they've taken out on American and other equipment, technology and expertise, the IMF bails them out with US “taxpayer” money -- and in the middle stands the BISand Fed collecting fees as the money travels back and forth like the ocean tide (Sander’s metaphor). This redistribution of wealth from the middle class and poor to the rich and ultra rich is a striking world phenomenon especially of the past few decades when the gap between the rich and the poor and middle classes has widened so dramatically. DISCUSSION: Yogi Berra said, "when you come to a fork in the road, take it. "The super highway on which we're rushing headlong into debilitating, freedom-crushing, globalization has a fork that offers no choice: The Republican and Democratic parties are equally subject to control by the Elite and to the kinds of corruption that lead to ENRONs: bought and paid for politicians who don’t do the voters’ bidding but rather that of big business who stuff the politicians’ pockets. THOMAS JEFFERSON, 1816: “I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” Of courseEisenhower's feared military/industrial complex (now including the US government) has been in full swing for decades. And Jefferson's concerns? We brought about his worst nightmare by allowing the marriage of government to the corporations in a way that makes administration officials, corporate officers, and most (all?) legislators very rich by allowing them to gang up against the people to whom they used to be responsible but whom they now completely control while the media hide from the complacent and uncurious “American Citizens” the facts about what's happening to them. What else is happening includes reducing the world’s population by 80%; mental and physical control; monopoly control over and pollution of the world’s food supply and public water supply... Conclusion-SO NOW WE SEE WHO CONTROLS OUR AMERICAN ANDWORLD ECONOMIES AND SOCIETIES. THESE ARE BEING RUTHLESSLY DESTROYED BY THE ELITE AND THEIR UNDERLING BANKERS ANDCORPORATIONS IN THEIR DRIVE TO ESTABLISH A NEW WORLD ORDER WITH THEMSELVES AT THE HELM, THE BIS AS CENTRAL BANKER ANDTHE UN AS THE GOVERNING BODY. WE HAVE LOST OUR AMERICA ANDITS CONSTITUTION TO A PACK OF CUNNING, GREEDY, HEARTLESS BUT OVERWHELMINGLY POWERFUL THIEVES WHO NOW HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER YOU AND ME. GOVERNMENT IS NO LONGER BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. IT IS BY THE ELITE AND FOR THE ELITE TO WHOM WE HAVE GIVEN IT WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING. IN THEPHYSICAL WORLD, IT WILL TAKE A PRODIGIOUS GRASSROOTS REVOLUTION TO SAVE OUR INTERESTS AND TO SAVEAMERICA AS OUR FOUNDERS MEANT IT TO BE AND AS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO HAVE BEEN. NOTA BENE: In contemplating all this, the most important point is to realize that our cosmos is host to spiritual/metaphysical forces as well as the physical ones. They play the starring role in the whole play. The purpose of this essay is to suggest areas in the physical world, of which some may not have been fully aware, better to help us make wiser decisions in our daily lives during this trying period of cosmic history. BUT ancients such as the Maya of Central America, the Dogon of West Africa and many others including biblical writers have made predictions of world events that proved uncannily accurate. These, especially the Maya, will be the subject of another essay that will address the question of December 12, 2012 when for the first time in 26,000 years our solar system will directly align with our galaxy, the Milky Way, a phenomenon expected by many scientists to bring dramatic change for us earthlings Infinite love is the true reality.
