Personal privacy should be paramount. Why anyone would release discreet private details on the internet about them or their family is beyond me. ID theft is rampant in the world today.

First name, middle initial, last name.

Birthdate.

Email address.

Their spouse's name.

Their child's name.

Where their child attends school.

Who their sibling is.

Their wedding anniversary date.

Who their employer is.

What employment *class* they are in.

When they will be away from their home on vacation.

When they ARE away from home and "just checking in here".

When they will be away from their home to attend other events.

Occasionally, what shift they are working.

What area of what town they live in.

Admitted personal habits and participatory activities.

What do you think someone of nefarious intent could do with this info? Do you really think posting real id data is that wise?

Tom - This brainiac refers to me. Honesty and honor is not high on his standard of ethics. True I have meantioned most of the stated list to my error, but only one poster has ever saw the need to use that information for personal use. As he uses it now, he'll continue to be what we all have seen him to be. He is scared, he's running, his time is limited. He knows this...

I thought my post was directly to Tom, chosen.

Having said that, it appears you are claiming ownership of something here, chosen. Not sure why you would do that in a public forum. However, my post identifies no one. It merely demonstrates an example of how one unimformed, unwitting, and misled poster can pretty much offer themselves up for the nefarious-inclined, which was my point regarding the use of real-ID data.

Otherwise, if you have some proof of something to offer...we are all standing by....

Just the well documented facts of the forums we both know you enjoy.

Peace

Bigbrother,

Someone called me one day to wish me a happy birthday. I told them that it wasn't my birthday. They said they had a reminder on the internet that it was my bday. I asked them if they thought I was an idiot. I never give my real birthdate on the net! I asked them if I should put my social security # on there too.
