One cannot argue against that Big B. You are right to a razor's edge. The dems have had a majority since Jan. 2007. They have been called the "most ineffective congress in 50 years" by the president. Tis a wonderful thing to lead with a slim 35 vote majority, have all but two bills you help pass get a veto and not be able to do anything about it. All the while you are said to be a "do nothing bunch." That's like taking a 33 question quiz and being told you can only answer 2 questions. You can only fail. The "teacher" has failed them first. The only good legislation this congress had been able to do anything about, was to keep this President from passing yet a sixth "Free Trade Agreement. Nearly12 Million good jobs now since Jan. 2001. That measly 2 years of gridlock alone makes them better than the previous crowd who had total control, WITH veto over-ride authority but didn't do it once. That's an ineffective congress. Ask Carter about gridlock. Obama needs some gridlock, like GW finally got after 6 years of free wheeling, job killing, tax free , corporate pushed, free trade agreements. If you are only going to give a team a few months to even start to fix what took nearly a decade to create, well close the coffin now then. The measly 2 years the dems had this slim majority, stopped this man from doing even more harm as many economists have eluded. Fixing it will take MUCH longer.
Cannot we see how all these errors have finally culminated to give us a new global terror? I really do not fear muslim extremists, I fear losing my home and my dignity as a citizen of the greatest nation on earth, or not being able to keep it warm this winter, buy food and medicines. I fear the financial terror this government created, terror of financial free-fall. One that no man or team can repair without a long and painful set of new rules that by some, will hurt like the dickens. . But by most, HURT like hell. But go ahead and ask any of the most recent and earliest jobless folks that have been and are now suffering. I pray we only hear of these things in our area rather than face them head-first. Ask these poor souls, what they think of all that "wonderful work" done in the past eight years. Betcha don't like what they have to say. Nor will any of us should this group fair no better. As far as those "lies" Obama has already told us, they are not lies unless it's been realized. Speculations such as these only serve to empty that half full glass. Give them a chance, K? If they fail all these tests, GOOD-BYE Obama and the rest. Regardless of the past eight years and what we all think, it's a new book that's ahead. Close the Bush books and open a new hope. Let Bush go home in peace and fade into history. We don't need indictments and trials to further muck things up. We need clear heads and open-mindedness again to better focus on the future. If you hated Bush, let him go like you might after saving an injured squirrel, if you didn't hate his tenure, wave a fond fair well. A clap of thunder, lightening in the skies and.....IT IS DONE.
