Lstreat- You don't seem to question the validity of the good things you hear about Obama. Why do you question the validity of the bad things? Do you think obama's not capable of being a sleazy, lieing thief?

Yawning and creaking this mornin,

No........... I don't mean to suggest you do or did. But  certain agreement seems obvious within so many words. Though...........you leave quite the meat-ball hanging out there. Does that mean you do trust most of mine? Or not so much? I'm not trying to corner anyone with that question. I read and watch and tell. I have a sturdy berm of political scandal and manipulation clippings spanning apr. eight decades clipped and pasted into albums. Back when our Edison, news papers and radio were the centerpieces of our family room, and television was rare(our neck of the woods anyway). That's about all the family did in the evenings once the chores were done and dinner dishes dried. Mr. & Mrs. Kline would visit with the folks and outside of recipes and cotton prices, politics was the standard of topics.  It usually begged to be told....... why people feel as they do. I understand, it's really outside my rights of concern so won't ask again.

I for one do fear that since we have lost "our way" nationally, neither candidate will be able live up to the expectations set forth by their camps. That's exactly how it was for Herbert Hoover. The man was swept into office by one of the biggest popular votes in history, and we all know how that turned out. Poor man, didn't stand a chance, and I do fear history in that regard has come back to visit, and will stop by the white house for a long stay this next four years.(regardless of the person behind that huge desk)

Evening Nedl?

I get ya there. But I don't question any good things regarding McCain either. I am pleased to compliment a representative who in fact does well by his/her oath and  constituency. Points to you.... for in fact I honestly cannot come up with much of a list for the "good things" Obama, in his short stretch, has done. That is aside of a couple pros in community service that one side considers bad, while the other feels to be "good." I guess it's just the  "Nature of the beast" when a candidate hasn't a long political career while running for the highest office in our land. He probably expected a tough fight and by now he's likely sore as heck. Now McCain, .......he's deserving of a long list of  feathers "good". That is aside of his military service as a P.O.W. where he deserves HERO status. But as well, he has a bit of conflict and scandal do suffer as he vies also for the highest office in our land.

 Please don't think for one second that back when McCain was involved in scandal and dishonorable legislating, that I didn't question those claims as well. I DID. Don't forget that my family has a long history of military service and suffering as McCain.  As I have said previously, McCain was(in the past) my candidate and in spite of his Keating flub and Phil Gramm support, I trusted that John would be better than Bush or Kerry. Now I have seen this honorable man spiral into an unimaginable "out of character" mode that I don't recognize as McCain. So with that, until...as they did with McCain back when GHW Bush and Clinton were presidents, prove Obama is this unsavory character, I have to ask those detrimental questions. IS IT TRUE? ...If it is....... then he should be rebuked......and should he win next week and found to be this unsavory "Lout" HE SHOULD RESINGN.

We were taught that you love your family, and support them in every way possible. That is until they prove to be without honor. Then the only respectable recourse we have(as tought to me) is to use tough love. We always love our children. We always suffer when they proveto be less than humane. Societies command that they be punished, chastised, outed. Crime, drugs, dishonor, rebellious, and lost. If I am willing to reject that kind of behavior within my own family, I certainly will not accept it from my representatives, and neither should anyone else regardless of party. So trust me when I assert that I would toss Obama out just as easily as any other, should it be proven to me that he's worthless as **** on a bore.(forgive my inflection). Thank you for pointing me in the right direction as I forgot to explain just why I ask those important questions, while reserving judgement until I know the facts. As I stated repeatedly, I wish we had more time and more viable candidates to choose from. This system is almost a  failure.
