U.S. MILITARY CODE OF CONDUCT

I. I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life.  I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

II. I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

III. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available.  I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape.  I will accept neither parole [early release] nor special favors from the enemy.

IV. If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners.  I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades.  If I am senior, I will take command.  If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

V. When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to only give name, rank, service number, and date of birth.  I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability.  I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

VI. I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.  I will trust in my God and in the United  States of America.

Sorry Dave but I must weigh in here and assure you that what they claim as "proof" is in a legal aspect far from it.  A piece of paper with words on it is proof of nothing, anyone can "create" this type of proof and fool many.  I myself could "create" this type of "proof" that anyone did anything as long as some are emotional enough to believe what is written.  If you want me to prove this I can create a website and label it whatever you want me to call it and make some documents that appear to untrained eyes to be legit and there you will have your "proof".  Now what is proof is what a court of law endorses as proof.  What these folks describe as their "proof" does not even come close to passing the smell test.  Not that it may or may not be true but it is definately not "proof" of anything.

Given that I do not endorse either party or any of their candidates, in reality I am not sure how I am going to vote yet.  As I have said before I still await information that leads me to believe what candidate would be best to be CEO of a company by their resume'.  Not to offend you but your candidate definately falls short on his job application.  I think if people would realize that this is what we are doing, hiring someone to head our "company", we would be electing the best person for the "job".  I prefer knowing the qualifications of the person I am thinking of heading it rather than how much bad they can say about another applying.

Logic - Proof is in the eye of the beholder. Republican's applauded Bush for using these links in the race between him and McCain. Now their false. Hummmmmm? Go figure.

If you really are asking yourself who can run the country more like a CEO of some large company........ You better ask yourself what kind of company you want? Do you just want to be a happy little worker ant in the larger scheme of things or do you wish to play a stronger economic role with in that company? In viewing McCain's charge to the white house in-order to save America, we can look upon the results and determine that they wouldn't even be acceptable for the running of one of our local quick stop stores. Now that's a fact.

Very well said, logic.

You have to understand the davis clan. Anything may be used to derail their political opposition. Like his brother joe that posted on the eve of the election that Zogby called the election for kerry...even though the polls were still open in the western time zone. Davieboy here never posted a word about McCain's POW status in any previous elections. Now he has a crowd that brings it up and suddenly he's all over it. And that slander is all they have...because they can't attack on substance.

You'll never see him weigh in on anything substance; like voting records/history and such. Real facts. I merely question his methods and motives and he zings me for defending McCain. Child-like defensive move. Juvenile. When he can't respond with facts he moves to personal attacks.

Then you have the " I'm an expert in this or that, now" attitude. The guy has been a self-professed expert on the US losing to the Japanese in WWII until we dropped the bomb, on Walmart's corporate strategies, NCLB and thinking that republicans were in charge when it was signed, tornados and storm-chasing, politics, how to hate another human, why smoking in public places is his right, why guns are bad for America, why unions are bad for America, and most recently, the US Military Code of Conduct.

It just goes on and on with this guy. His credilibility went out the door eons ago.

I am with you, logic, on making up my mind yet. But when people like davie go over the top extreme with their mantras and deceptions; I have to speak up. I have never said a word on directly defending McCain...but I sure can challenge others on their statements one way or another....and always have.

As for your points on obama, logic. Well put. A community organizer compared to a seasoned political leader. Which would be the logical choice for a political position? Well, it wasn't that long ago that even Biden said obama is not ready for the presidency....

My ballot is being sent to me as I post this. Gonna be interesting to see what I finally decide. Gotta sluff through the garbage and weigh all the facts. But, voting records alone is enough, really, to decide this election for me. I was a litlle shocked at obama's record. Folks should take some time and look at that. They are available at neutral websites and government websites. Good luck to all in this election.
