I am not so sure, it makes me wonder how our country is going to feel about having her in the white house too. She obviously can't manage her own family how is she going to help manage our country? I just read that her 17 year old unwed daughter is 5 months pregnant. Come on how does that really make you look, and more so when you are such a huge public figure!!!
So when did having a teen become pregnant mean that you cannot "manage" your family or for that matter the country? Would YOU want to be held responsible for all of the things that your children do or not do? I have not heard them say they felt this was accepted behavior they are just dealing with it with the values they have. This is NOT a national tragedy. I feel that this makes her VERY in touch with "mainstream" America.
I just feel that if she where home with her 5 children, knowing what they where doing and when like a parent should maybe her daughter might not be a teenage mom. I personally don't think that it is "ok" to be what you call "mainstream America" if that means that it is ok to just let kids have kids and not be a responsible parent and teach our children about safe sex, and know what is going on in their lives. But that is my opinion just as you have yours. And if I remember correctly you are held responsible for what your children do or don't do until they are 18, and if they go on to college and drink and get busted under age guess what you are still held responsible, do I think that it is right after they are 18 no, but before 18 sure that is responsible parenting.
Just curious but, how many kids do you have and what are their ages?
Yes, I have children, but I don't think that it is any of your business as to if I have children and how old they are. I am sure that many of you disagree with me on my opinions and what have ya, and that is ok. I just feel differently about it than you do and that is fine. I have never said that she is handling it badly or anything, I am glad they didn't chose an abortion but I still think that mom could have been more of a mom at home instead of mom to just Alaska.
Also what is this with crat's this and that? I am sooo not either a dem or rep, and up until just a few years ago I had never voted in an election by choice, I just didn't give a crap, young and dumb as they say. I can't stand either of these people running for president, and I sure hope that Mickey Mouse wins this time around, although it is highly unlikely so I am still not sure as to which I will pick, how do you pick between 2 evils?
No, your kids are not my business. Since you seem to be judging Palin on her children, family affairs and all, I thought we should be afforded the same priviledges in your case. Don't you run a business?

All I'm trying to say is, if you are going to throw rocks at someone because of their family, make sure you are not in the same position as they are.

You know maybe your right, and I am looking at this the wrong way. She is a mother dealing with her child's problem the best she knows how to. I should be looking at the issues she plans to deal with if she gets into office, and not her personal life. I do recall saying in the past when Clinton was in office that what he does in his free time with whom ever is not my business and if he is getting pleasured by someone other than his wife I don't care just as long as he is taking care of our country. So I guess I should be saying the same here, however I chose to put down a woman in this case because she is a mom and should be a mom first, and things could have been different had she been able to stay home more with her children. But hindsight is always 20/20 right. I am sure as a mom she is kicking herself in the a$$ wondering where she went wrong and what she needs to do to make it better. I shouldn't be looking at her family, who cares about that right, I should be looking at her track record and what she has done thus far for her people.
I don't think that it is fair to say that I am in the same position as her, since I am not a public figure with a child that is having a baby, I don't even come close to that. I am not a business owner. I have a music studio, but I wouldn't call that a business, I don't make anything on it to support my family, I chose to continue it for the kids that we have been teaching for 4 years now, they enjoy it and we enjoy them.

Yes, Sarah's daughter did an unspeakable thing. She is having a child out of wedlock....and plans to let it live. Her mom is a horrible person to allow that.
And maybe if Biden was a better father and brother his son and brother wouldn't be in trouble for fraud.
And maybe if Obama was half as smart as he thinks he is, he wouldn't have done drugs and consorted with anarchists and criminals. Oh, wait. That's his mom's fault.
