  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor

This evening I poured out a bowl of corn flakes. Found a big flake that looks just like obama. I'm putting in on ebay tomorrow.

Nedl,

As I was saying before, Congress, NOT the President, is the BIGGEST culprit to most of our problems.  The ALL promise you the world, and, are hard pressed to give you the state.  That's BOTH Democrat AND Republican.  As I said before, SOMETHING has GOT to change.  Just as an example, look at the number of retired people working full time jobs today, compared to 20 years ago.  That's just one indicator that there's problems somewhere in our society.  Look at the State of Iowa, that says there's not enough people to fill the jobs of the retiring baby boomers, and that the State is going to be in to a MAJOR problem tryiing to replace them!  There again, a LOT of them will continue to work (because they HAVE TO).  In MY case, it was an insurance issue, and, I'm a far way from being put out to pasture yet.  I wish that we had a viable 3rd party, that wasn't somewhat of a spoiler for the other 2.  It would be GREAT, in MY lifetime, to be able to vote FOR someone, rather than AGAINST the opposing party.  There AIN'T a one of these politicians that are "lilly white", and it's just so sad that we live in the corrupt society that we do, and, what's worse, we don't seem to want, or, be able, to do ANYTHING about it!

To ME, it was the LOGICAL thing for the Republican party to do (have a female running mate).  I don't understand WHY the Democrats didn't use Clinton.  That WOULD have been a LANDSLIDE (one way or the other), now, the playing field is equal again (Blackk on one side, female on the other).  Boy ain't politics fun to watch!  Have a GREAT week.

Haven't read them since I was probably eight years old. My mom sold them all in a yard sale shortly after that.

I'll tell you what, nedl. I made bigbrother the same offer but he hasn't taken me up on it. If you'd like to discuss (honestly) what you see as Obama's shortcomings, I'll be glad to discuss them with you. I'm not saying that we'll change each others minds, but if you would like to openly discuss these things, I'll be happy to do it.

I haven't been offered anything substantial, haysus. Infact, you think mainstream America is on foodstamps. How skewed is that view, Joe?
