Finally someone is bringing information that I have asked for many times.

While trying to figure who deserves my vote this year I have tried to get the folk on this board to show reasons to vote for their candidate. (not reasons to vote against the other)  I've yet to hear or see any accomplishments that Obama has done to make me feel he is a valid candidate.

When I decide who to vote for I generally use the same formula that an employer would.  Experience and accomplishments in the type of job they are applying for being the highest

I watched much of the democratic convention. Dukakis and one other politician I can't remember, were both asked to name one thing Obama did to merit being a candidate. That was my high point of that convention. Both politicians tried to skirt the question by trying to steer away to other subjects. The stubborn interviewer kept insisting on an answer to "what ONE thing has Obama done"? Neither politician could come up with anything. And people who observe and think, can't either.

Here's two things for you, nedl.

Lugar- Obama proliferation and threat reduction initiative

Coburn-Obama Federal Funding and Accountability Transparency Act

And that's just off the top of my head. It doesn't include the numerous other bills that he's cosponsored that are still sitting in committee.

But back to your initial list of differences...

The positions were intentionally worded to favor McCain. It can work both ways.

"Will institute a socialized national health care plan

McCain No
Obama Yes"

becomes

Will ensure that every American has access to affordable health care

McCain No
Obama Yes

OR

Favors new drilling offshore US
McCain Yes
Obama No

becomes

Favors the development of alternative fuels to end our dependence on fossil fuels

McCain No
Obama Yes

As I said, it's all spin and BS.

If nobama's work was very important, you would think his fellow politico's would be able to think of at least ONE thing. LOL.
