Obama is trying-

SOMEBODY'S GOT SOME SPLAININ' TO DO:

Biden Said Obama Is Not Ready To Serve As President. ABC's George Stephanopoulos: "You were asked is he ready. You said 'I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.'" Sen. Biden: "I think that I stand by the statement." (ABC's, "This Week," 8/19/07)

Biden: "If the Democrats think we're going to be able to nominate someone who can win without that person being able to table unimpeachable credentials on national security and foreign policy, I think we're making a tragic mistake..." (Sen. Joe Biden, "The Diane Rehm Show," 8/2/07)

Biden: "Having Talking Points On Foreign Policy Doesn't Get You There." ("Biden Lashes Out At Obama," ABC News' "Political Radar" Blog, blogs.abcnews.com, 8/2/07)

Biden Attacked Obama For Voting Against Funding U.S. Troops In Iraq And Afghanistan, Accusing Him Of "Cutting Off Support That Will Save The Lives Of Thousands Of American Troops." Biden: "And, look, Tim, if you tell me I've got to take away this protection for these kids in order to win the election, some things aren't worth it. Some things are worth losing over. That would be worth losing over. Hundreds of lives are being saved and will be saved by us sending these vehicles over which we are funding with this supplemental legislation. And I want to ask any of my other colleagues, would they, in fact, vote to cut off the money for those troops to protect them? That's the right question. This isn't cutting off the war. This is cutting off support that will save the lives of thousands of American troops." (NBC's "Meet The Press," 9/9/07)

Biden On Obama's Leadership On Iraq: "I Don't Recall Hearing A Word From Barack About A Plan Or A Tactic." (Jason Horowitz, "Biden Unbound: Lays Into Clinton, Obama, Edwards," The New York Observer, 2/4/07)

Biden On Whether He Would Meet Unconditionally With The Leaders Of Rogue States As Obama Said He Would: "Absolutely Positively No." Biden: "Would I make a blanket commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of each of those countries within the first year I was elected president? Absolutely positively no." (Sen. Joe Biden, Remarks At The National Press Club, Washington, DC, 8/1/07)

Not to mention Biden's Plagiarism. More than once. And he's gonna give Obama on-the-job training.

BTW...when did using foodstamps rise to the level of "mainstream" in America? I always thought mainstream meant the "average joe".  I don't think the average American uses foodstamps. Your correlation of food stamps making Obama somehow more mainstream seems a bit skewed, haysus.

Additionally, when McCain was a child, being an Admiral wasn't actually that lucrative regarding his status in life, compared to civilian life. Ever live on a military base? Ever live on one 60 to 70 years ago? Being a miilitary brat is not quite the high and mighty life you think it is, haysus.

Besides, Obama was born in 61, right in the middle of the Dems run on majority control (1955-1981).  How could his own party not fix the economy so his momma didn't have to use footstamps, since you brought it up?

It's hard to believe, but this may be the most obtuse post I've ever read from you. You've really outdone yourself.

Over twelve percent of Americans live in poverty. Therefore, Obama, like most mainstream Americans, understands the struggles of a life without privilege. And I happen to know that officers make quite a bit more than the enlisted men. (Are you insinuating that enlisted men are not mainstream, bigbrother?) McCain's youth may not have been the wealthy life he currently leads, but I seriously doubt he was on food stamps or had to struggle as a result of not having money.

My point (that you're pretending not to understand) was that Obama's life more closely reflects the quintessential "American Dream." The "pull yourself up by your bootstraps/rags to riches" story that America is so proud of.

Thank you for confirming that 12 % is a minority and not the average joe. I'm not insinuating anything; however we are not talking the difference in an officer's pay vs. enlisted. ALL' repeat...ALL military 60 years ago when McCain was a child were paid crap compared to civilians...but what has officers vs. enlisted  got to do with nobama? Military pay was shit 60 years ago...even for officers.

Obviously; you have no military knowledge. Again...democrats in charge allowed the economy to happen that caused nobama's mommy to need food stamps. They created the food stamp sytem instead of solving the crisis that created the need.

You somehow think the military 60 years ago was some kind of happy fizzies party. Demoncrats had not yet invented the free ride or food stamps. Maybe McCain's family  would have qualified by today's "liberal" standards, tying him to that oh-so-valuable mainstream you keep bringing up.

Officers 60 years ago did not make "quite a bit more" than enlisted. You do not happen to know that, my friend. Today; yes. You need to start getting real with your facts.

"the quintessential "American Dream." Now you are changing the parameters. You said mainstream before....the federal government considered me as low income in the military in the 60s and 70s. What do you suppose they considered the military income 60 years ago?
