Thank you Nedl, what you just said, is very true. I won't work someplace that I don't agree with, or compromises beliefs in any way. Now, that being said, I'm talking about City employment, specifically at the Water Pollution Control Plant, and, THIS Wal-Mart. AND, I agree with, and applaud anyone who shops locally! I'm a BIG believer in Shopping Muscatine first! And, locally at that! I, like Jeff, would LOVE to see downtown Muscatine flourish. I've ALWAYS said, that there is absolutely NO reason why downtown Muscatine can't be another Galena, Illinois. I just love it up there, when we have a chance to go. Tom. |

JOS - What I have a problem is your mentality that walmart is evil. When you state things like "So you can keep things like your China-supporting, sub-par quality, anti-employee stock, thank you very much" you insult me. Heck I don't even know what a anti-employee stock would be. Are they sold at a different rate or something? You first post was not just about supporting local business by shopping local. You wanted to insult and you did. A tactic I have always found you above. Hate walmart if you choose. To make broad statements (like above) for the pleasure of following the crowd with little knowledge is wrong in my opinion. As stated by you, you do not support any local grocery store. Mainly because there is not one. Therefore we can only assume you refuse to shop walmart for other reasons then that in which you have stated. Again your right, but it makes it hard to have a honest discussion. Best of days to you...... |

Tom was loyal to his previous employer too. Tom't that kind of guy. Walmart certainly didn't make him that way.
I don't want to talk about Tom like he's not hear. Tom speaks very good for himself. |
