Boy that was a long time ago at our house over 40 years ago. I agree with you on this one, but it brings up a question.

Back when my daughter was dating there were lots of girls picking up the boys so it took some effort to keep up with who was with whom. I still notice a lot of that today at least the girl is driving the car.

I can certainly say that I am glad those days are over for me.

Good for you, Lilsmom!!

Too few parents these days try to know who their kids are hanging out with.  Your daughter might roll her eyes and say you're embarassing her, but she knows you love her.

I have to agree it's a good practice to meet the people you're kids are dating. I think it's part of parenting.

Good for you lilsmom.  Your daughter will some day appreciate what you do for her. Maybe not now but later on down the road. I know my son now practices on his daughter what we did for him and at the time he did not appreciate it but now he sees we only did it for his good.

Too many parents don't want to bother knowing where thier kids are and with whom, so I appluad you and any others who take the time to care. Yes we do live in a different world but there is still room room for respect, manners, caring and love. It is all in the way a parent raises thier kids.
