what did milk companies do for this quarter. doubt they hit the 51 billion mark
I heard on a business report that the oil companies profit margin was 8%. When presented in that context it doesn't sound so bad - it's just that it hits all of us in the wallet and then when we hear billions of dollar profits it sends us all into a tailspin.
I'm sure that there are LOTS of companies that realize much more that an 8% profit margin - but they do not enjoy the consumer base that the oil companies do. Every gallon of gasoline sold all over the world makes them money. Please do not think that I am in love with the oil companies or this high-priced gas, 'cause I'm not. I just think we need to be well informed about some of the factors that we don't hear about on the o'clock news and not just focus on that whatever-billion dollar profit.
