The lead story on the news reports since the storm was flooding. Hello? I'm trying to be nice for a change, but..........

WHY do you listen to that station if it causes you such personal pain and displeasure?

Just wondering?

Isn't it true that at times we all criticize things because we'd like them to get better or improve?  After all it's not like we have a choice for anything local when it's the only show in town.  I do agree that they should drop that "first with news: nonsense, because they seldom are.

I agree that KWPC runs what they consider (it's arguable) to be news to the point of annoying at times and I wonder if a) they think listeners are not intelligent to get it the first time, or b) no one has figured out that when you have the monopoly on local anything it's reasonable to assume that people are listening at more than just one time per day.

It's like when the reporter tries (sadly) to capture some even that has to deal with music or singing on what must be a $25 recording device and somehow thinks that people listening will find that noteworthy.  Report the event, leave the recording of music or human voices to those with the proper tools.  Do what you do well, do not do what you do not do well.

By the way, is it just me or does anyone else not consider such things as school board meetings as being news?  Community calendar maybe, but no way is it news.

I'm with tired if you don't like the station don't listen.

As far as school board meetings being news or not, well it depends if you have a child in the system and changes they make might effect them and of course if something they do on the board might raise my property tax rate. Then I will situp and take notice.

As far as music on the radio news it not a question if they will play music it's just which part of the daily cast they will play it, like flicking everyday and I know if you have a piece on or your kid does you listen everytime it's on, I just turn it down.
