One:  Are there bathrooms at Weed Park besides at the Aquadic Center and the Rose Garden?

Two: And can you use the ones at the A Center without going into the pool area?

Three: Where are the River front area restrooms?

Riverview Center (rental) Red Brick Building (rental) Lift Station(?)

Four: Why not put a little life in the bridge lights instead of the same slow fade in and out of the same colors? I thought there were 16M different combos that could be programed to run.

Five: Lot's of talk about litter in Muscatine. How about some trash cans in the public areas for use by the general public?

Six: Why not place a few litter containers along the parade routes to help promote self cleanup of litter before, during and after the parades?

Seven: I see the smoking ban is working well. We now have drunks(?) outside of the bars smoking, blocking the door ways and sidewalks and making public scenes for all to witness. Looks real down home and inviting to me. What's everyone else think?

Enough for a Friday disscussion.

Have a good night all.

If they are going to keep making exceptions on which businesses can have smoking, whyinell not do the right, and sensible thing. LET THE BUSINESSES DECIDE if they want to be smokeless or not.

Yeah, I know. The smoke free freaks will whine about not being free to go anywhere they want and not have to breath smoke. What about other people's freedom? Why are non smokers so selfish and inconsiderate? Is it yet another liberal thing, as I suspect? What? Can someone explain why they must have places they don't go anyway, to be smoke free? Why it's ok to make exceptions? Why then, are there still tobacco farms, probably government subsidized?

Answer to "one" - there used to be a porta potty near the sand pit volleyball area - that is over close to Colorado street.

On the riverfront near the playground equipment is a small brick building that houses the restrooms.

The TNT gals (Tuesday Night Trash) are organizing a campaign to have folks with trash bags stationed all thru the parade route and promoting downtown businesses to set out trash cans to make disposal of all those candy wrappers, drink containers, political literature, and whatever else you want to get rid of as easy as possible. Kind of like your Mother is right there still trying to teach you not to litter. So many folks never learned that - sad huh? MANY people do not realize that cigarette butts and packages are litter and that the place to empty you car's ash tray is NOT the parking lot.

End of lecture for tonight folks!

True enough nedl!!!

Coming from a business owner....not a bar or restaurant.  I think it is all about control...and to see how many smokers they can get to quit.  But then where will the money come from... of course they will still have lots running in from the casinos, but might need to open 5-10 more to make up for all the smokers quitting.
