I do not mean this to be sarcastic or snotty (for once).
I am curious what people see as the accomplishments of Bush over the past (almost) 8 years...
I obviously am not a supporter, but I'm trying to think of even one program or policy that he has accomplished.
And mind you, this isn't just about politics. For instance, I can name a bunch of things his father got accomplished, or Reagan. They aren't things I agree with necessarily, but they set goals and met them.
Has Bush met any of his own goals? In other words, has he had any successes on his own terms?
I'm not counting "appointing judges who agree with me" or other appointment-like things.
I suppose you could list "reduce taxes on rich people" as an accomplishment, but is that it?
I mean this sincerely and seriously. No child left behind doesn't work and is being challenged by almost every state; the war in Iraq didn't produce a quick resolve with people throwing flowers at us; Osama is still out there somewhere; the economy is in ruins; gas prices are sky high; the mortgage industry is dead; regulations have been ignored and our food and toys are tainted; civil rights have been gutted; he's even lost in front of his own Supreme Court every time they ruled on his denial of rights to suspected terrorists...
There's more, of course, but this is just off the top of my head.
Seriously, what do people consider his accomplishments after 8 years? What will his legacy be?
