For those of us that are fathers that have had the not so fun job of paying Child support over the years, do I ever have a story.
It was just over 13 years ago that "I" went to my employer and the state of Iowa to set up child support payments to be deducted straight from my payroll. I believed then as I do now that child support should not be an option, but a responsibility.
With that stated, that responsibility has been ever so slow in ending. My child saw his 18th Birthday nearly two months ago and the Support keeps being deducted. In contacting CS Recovery they acknowledged the over payment and said I should see my first check of repayment with in days. They were correct, on pay day as yet another payment was deducted from my payroll, in the mail I recieved a check of $0.07 cents from the state of Iowa. Confused I called them again. They have assured me this is only the first payment. I assured them that at 7 cents a check I would not live long enough to get my money back. They didn't find me funny.
Who would have guessed............
