We have and are changing, slowly for the worse. Older people who knew better times, resent seeing our young being taught that the oppressive ways of liberalism are best.
I might agree that the changing may be for the worse, but fail to see the connection with liberalism.
Older people knew better times? Older then who? My father nor mother would ever tell you stories of the easy great life they had. It could be argued the lessons they learned had far greater value then those of today, but that's our creation. As parents we all wanted to give our kids a better beginning then we had. Sometimes the best beginning is stepping back.
Yeah, my folks had a rough go too. But, to todays snotdrippin' kids, I'm an "older people". Until just recently, jobs were plentiful. At least until I had to retire in 1995. My grandsons don't seem to be having trouble finding work. Aside from fuel costs screwing up things, but that's a recent development.
