Muscatine

A couple of questions out to everyone. I'm thinking of replacing my home's roof and most likely the gutters and downspouts.

Shingles vs. metal roof? Thoughts about either type? I know cost is a huge factor.

Recommend any contractors for either or both styles?

Recommend anyone for the Gutter/downspout system install?

Does anyone use a leaf guard system? Comments?

Single story ranch style 1200 square feet.

I just had my house and garage stripped & re-shingled with Architectural type shingles.

I checked in to metal and found it would be almost double in price If it is done right and carries a 35 year warranty. My shingles have a 30 year warranty and there is no way I will be around to worry about it in 30 years.

I had Sonny Wheeler 563-381-8718 do mine and he was finished in less than 3 days, with everything cleaned up & hauled away plus he does gutters.

I have leaf guards and they seem to work very well.

My biggest problem is getting tired, so I rest when it happens.

I go back to the Doctor on the 21st and I will know more then. Hopefully it will be good news as it has been on each report.
