Didn't get to see it this year but family did and said it was well as usual for Muscatine. More about politics then good ole fashioned floats!! Did see the fireworks and I wonder what anyone else thought of the 10 second (I.m being generous) finale?? The whole thing lasted about 15 minutes. The finale is usually the best part and well, not this yr. It was over as soon as it started. I will pass up weaving through town to make it there next yr.

Fireworks are not politically correct as fireworks suggest violence. They are being phased out. Soon, they will flash the bridge lights on and off and that will be it.

Fireworks I didn't get a chance to see the parade (had to work).  But, did see the fireworks.  Couldn't see the bridge for the trees (parking lot shut off).  Hoped the bridge lights would have been synchronized with the fireworks. (since it was there 1st year together).  Thought they were too low in the air this year.  Didn't last as long as I would have hoped.  Grand Finale' was kind of lame.  Maybe no money this year.  Will contact Jane Daufeldt to see what kind of donation it takes to make them bigger and better.  Maybe other organizations throughout Muscatine can/will do the same for next years' extravaganza!  Tom.
